The new portion of the Hougomont hotel is constructed behind an existing heritage listed building. As a result, the modular method of construction was selected as the large portion of the building would be constructed off site and lifted into position by a crane. Our engineers provided recommendations to stabilise the brick facade to the existing heritage building.
